SURAKARTA – The Department of Public Health, Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS), proudly celebrates another student achievement. Firli Shahibah and Rizka Audia Brilian, both Public Health UMS students, have successfully passed the selection process for the 2026 Muhammadiyah–’Aisyiyah Community Service Program (KKN MAS).
KKN MAS is a community engagement program that brings together students from Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah Higher Education Institutions (PTMA) across Indonesia. The program provides participants with opportunities to apply their academic knowledge, strengthen leadership skills, and embody Muhammadiyah values through meaningful community empowerment initiatives.
The successful selection of Firli Shahibah and Rizka Audia Brilian reflects the readiness and capability of Public Health UMS students to contribute to community development through promotive, preventive, and community-based public health approaches. Beyond serving as a platform for community service, KKN MAS also enables students to collaborate with peers from various PTMAs, fostering interdisciplinary learning and expanding their academic and professional networks.
The Department of Public Health UMS continuously encourages its students to participate in academic, research, and community engagement programs that enhance both professional competencies and social responsibility. Participation in KKN MAS represents an important implementation of experiential learning, integrating public health knowledge with humanitarian values and community service.
The Department extends its sincere congratulations to Firli Shahibah and Rizka Audia Brilian on this remarkable achievement. It is hoped that they will actively participate in all stages of the 2026 KKN MAS program, make meaningful contributions to the communities they serve, and proudly represent the Department of Public Health and Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta.
This accomplishment further demonstrates the Department of Public Health UMS’s commitment to producing graduates who excel academically while possessing strong leadership, social awareness, and the ability to translate public health knowledge into impactful actions for society.
