Surakarta, September 3, 2024 – The Public Health Study Program (KesMas) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) successfully held a General Lecture entitled “Primary Health Care: Lessons Learned from Thailand in Improving Public Health”. This event presented a special speaker, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phanuwat Sriyotha from Sirindhorn College of Public Health, Khon Kaen, Thailand.
This General Lecture was attended by more than 30 students on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, from 12.30 to 14.00 WIB in Lecture Rooms 1, 2, and 3 of the UMS Public Health Study Program. This activity is part of the Public Health Study Program’s efforts to broaden students’ horizons regarding the implementation of primary health services and lessons learned from Thailand in improving the quality of public health.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phanuwat Sriyotha, an expert lecturer in Public Health, shared lessons learned about Community Care and Health Promotion Intervention. This topic is expected to provide an overview for students in understanding and creating health promotion programs with the right strategy. In this era of globalization, cross-country understanding of public health is becoming increasingly important. The Public Health Study Program hopes that with this General Lecture session, students will gain deeper and more comprehensive insights in supporting the improvement of health services in Indonesia.
