Public Health UMS Holds Public Lecture with BPOM in Surakarta: Educating on Smartly Choosing and Using Safe Cosmetics

Surakarta, September 18, 2025 — The Public Health Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS Public Health) is holding a public lecture entitled “Smartly Choosing and Using Safe Cosmetics” in collaboration with the BPOM in Surakarta. This event will take place on Thursday, September 18, 2025, starting at 9:00 a.m. WIB (Western Indonesian Time) in the UMS Public Health AVA Lab.

This public lecture will feature Annisa Nurul Anindita, S.Si., First Expert Pharmaceutical and Food Supervisor from the BPOM Surakarta. Through the material presented, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of cosmetic safety, from recognizing distribution permits, reading labels, to choosing safe and appropriate products.

This event is open to the public and free of charge, with capacity limited to 30 participants. Registration is available online through the official UMS website. Participants will also receive several benefits, including certificates, relevant practical knowledge, and networking with fellow participants and presenters.

Through this educational program, the UMS Public Health Study Program continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving public health literacy, particularly regarding the safety of cosmetic products used daily.
