Surakarta, September 15, 2025 — The academic community of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta has once again achieved an achievement. Lecturer in the Public Health Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, UMS, Dwi Linna Suswardany, S.K.M., M.PH., and the Srawung Sains Team, successfully obtained the 2025 Tera Saintek Grant from the Ministry of Education and Science and Technology. This achievement confirms the research and innovation capacity of the UMS Public Health Study Program in providing science-based solutions to public health challenges.
The project that won the grant is entitled:
“Srawung Sains: Community Innovation Hub with an Inclusive Circular Science and Technology Approach, Nudge, and Gamification to Eliminate Tuberculosis in the Surakarta Infectious Flats.”
This innovation combines technological, sociocultural, and behavioral approaches to drive public health change. Through an inclusive science and technology circular approach, nudge support, and gamification elements, this program is designed to increase community participation and strengthen tuberculosis elimination strategies in densely populated residential areas.
This success demonstrates the UMS Public Health Study Program’s consistent commitment to strengthening its tradition of applied research relevant to community needs. In addition to bringing honor to the institution, this achievement contributes to improving the quality of health interventions at the community level.
