Surakarta, April 19, 2025 — As many as 59 students from the Public Health Study Program (Kesmas), Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS), officially received Bachelor of Public Health (S.K.M.) degrees at the Period III Graduation of the 2024/2025 Academic Year held on Saturday, April 19, 2025.
A proud achievement also colored the moment, with the extraordinary achievements of 45 students from the 2021 Public Health Study Program who managed to complete their studies in 3.5 years—faster than the ideal study period of 4 years. This number covers 30% of the total 2021 Public Health Study Program students.
This achievement shows the students’ high commitment to pursuing their education in a disciplined and efficient manner, while also reflecting the effectiveness of the learning system and academic guidance in the UMS Public Health Study Program. This success is a positive indicator of academic quality and a productive learning climate in the study program environment.
The Head of the UMS Public Health Study Program expressed his highest appreciation to all graduates, especially to students who managed to complete their studies in a short time. “This is not only a personal achievement, but also a reflection of the collaborative spirit between students, lecturers, and the academic system that supports the acceleration of studies without ignoring quality,” she said.
With the knowledge and experience gained during their education, graduates are expected to be able to make a real contribution to improving the health of the community in various sectors, both at the local, national, and global levels.
This graduation is an important momentum for the UMS Public Health Study Program to continue to produce graduates who are superior, adaptive, and impactful.
