Surakarta, March 25, 2025 — In order to increase public awareness of the importance of balanced nutrition during fasting, the Public Health Study Program of the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS Public Health Study Program) once again presents educational content through its flagship podcast channel, DIALOKESMAS. The latest episode, released on March 25, 2025, carries the theme “Nutritional Health Education in the Holy Month of Ramadan”, and is now available on the Spotify platform.
In this episode, listeners are invited to understand the importance of a healthy diet during sahur and breaking fast, as well as how to maintain nutritional balance during a full month of fasting. This education is delivered by Nur Lathifah Mardiyati, S.Gz., M.S, a lecturer in the UMS Nutrition Science Study Program who has expertise in the fields of nutritional status assessment, eating habits, food labels, and sports nutrition.
“Ramadan is a very good momentum to reorganize our eating patterns. However, many people actually experience health problems because they choose the wrong types of food when breaking the fast and eating sahur,” explained Nur Lathifah in the podcast.
Through light and easy-to-understand explanations, DIALOKESMAS provides practical guidance on choosing healthy foods, the importance of hydration, and the influence of eating habits on energy and productivity during the month of Ramadan. The hope is that people can carry out fasting in a healthier and more nutritionally aware way.
This podcast is part of the UMS Public Health Study Program’s commitment to supporting digital media-based health promotion, especially among the general public and students. With easily accessible media and quality content, DIALOKESMAS continues to be an inspiring discussion and education space in the field of public health.
