Scheduled for June 2026, the lecture is part of the program’s commitment to providing students with broader global perspectives in public health education.
The international lecture will be delivered as part of the Basic Concepts of Health Promotion course under the theme “Health Promotion Across Settings: Lessons from Australia, International Experiences, and Indonesia.” Through this session, students will gain valuable insights into health promotion strategies implemented across various settings, drawing on Australia’s experiences, international best practices, and their relevance to the Indonesian context.
The lecture is designed to enhance students’ understanding of evidence-based health promotion approaches while exposing them to innovative practices that can be adapted to address current public health challenges in Indonesia. By learning from international experiences, students are expected to develop a broader perspective on designing and implementing effective health promotion programs.
The Adjunct Professor Lecture also reflects the Public Health Study Program’s commitment to delivering internationally oriented education through collaboration with globally recognized universities. Such academic partnerships play a significant role in enriching the learning environment and preparing students to become competent public health professionals capable of addressing health issues from both national and global perspectives.
The Head of the Public Health Study Program emphasized that international academic collaboration is a strategic initiative to foster excellence in education and research. Through activities such as this, students not only strengthen their academic knowledge but also develop critical thinking skills by understanding how health promotion policies and interventions are implemented across different countries and healthcare systems.
By hosting Dr. Jerico Pardosi as an Adjunct Professor, the Public Health Study Program at UMS reaffirms its commitment to expanding international partnerships, promoting global engagement, and producing graduates equipped with international perspectives, strong professional competencies, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to improving public health at both the national and global levels.
