Surakarta, August 23, 2025 — Lecturers from the Public Health Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta (Kesmas FIK UMS) have once again achieved a proud achievement. They successfully earned a Silver Medal in the Innovation category and the Best Oral Presenter award at the 2025 International Conference, Exhibition, & Innovation on Public Health & International–Community Services (ICEPH-CS) organized by Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia.
The UMS lecturer team, part of the ANECMA (A Digital Triadic Platform for Enhancing Maternal Anemia Prevention) innovation group, won the Silver Medal for developing a digital platform focused on preventing anemia in pregnant women. This innovation represents a breakthrough in public health by integrating education, mentoring, and digital maternal health monitoring.
The ANECMA team consists of Arif Setiawan, S.Kom., M.Eng. (Informatics Engineering Education), Windi Wulandari, S.K.M., M.P.H., Izzatul Arifah, S.K.M., M.P.H., and Prof. Dr. Yuli Kusumawati, S.K.M., M.Kes. (Epid.) from the Public Health Study Program, as well as Henry Bahrudin Yusuf, a student of Informatics Engineering Education.
In addition to the team award, UMS Public Health lecturer Izzatul Arifah, S.K.M., M.P.H. also won the Best Oral Presenter award for her scientific presentation, which was deemed communicative, systematic, and impactful on the development of public health science.
This achievement demonstrates the commitment of UMS Public Health lecturers to actively contributing internationally through research, innovation, and publications relevant to the needs of the global community.
With these achievements, the Public Health Study Program of FIK UMS continues to emphasize its role as an excellent and internationally competitive educational institution in realizing a healthy and progressive society.
