UMS Public Health Student Receives 2025 PKM-PM Funding from the Directorate General of Research and Technology

Surakarta, July 25, 2025 – Muti’ah Diniya, a student in the Public Health Study Program at the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta (Kesmas UMS), has successfully secured funding for the 2025 Student Creativity Program for Community Service (PKM-PM) from the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Diktiristek).

In her proposal, titled “Gateway: Psychosociospiritual Strengthening Based on Holistic Methods and Positive Psychology to Improve the Well-Being of Children with HIV/AIDS at the Lentera Surakarta Foundation,” Muti’ah and her team focused on improving the psychosociospiritual well-being of children with HIV/AIDS through a holistic approach that addresses mental, social, and spiritual aspects.

This program is expected to make a real contribution to supporting mental health and building a positive environment for children at the Lentera Surakarta Foundation. Through a positive psychology-based approach, the team strives to foster optimism, self-confidence, and social support among the beneficiaries.

Mentored by Endang Setyaningsih, S.Si., M.Si., a lecturer in the UMS Public Health Study Program, the team is ready to translate their innovative ideas into concrete actions within the community.

This achievement also demonstrates the UMS Public Health Study Program’s commitment to encouraging students to actively innovate and contribute through the university’s three pillars, particularly in community service.
