Surakarta – July 13, 2025,
Students of the Public Health (Kesmas) Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS), once again achieved impressive achievements at the 2024/2025 University-Level Student Quran Recitation Competition (MTQ). In this competition, the Public Health students successfully won titles in various competitions, both individually and as a team.
Alya Hadfana Salsabila and Afnan Zain Muzakki were two standout performers. Both were declared champions in the MTQ competition organized by UMS. Afnan Zain Muzakki performed brilliantly, winning first place in the Musabaqah Fahmil Qur’an (Quran Recitation Competition), along with a team consisting of Kaafy Al Dzahaby (FAI) and Fauzan Muhammad Ihsan (FEB). In addition, Afnan also won third place in the Musabaqah Hifzhil Qur’an (MHQ) 20 Juz competition, demonstrating his consistency in Quran recitation and memorization.
Meanwhile, Alya Hadfana Salsabila also demonstrated outstanding achievement by winning third place in the Musabaqah Fahmil Qur’an with her team, consisting of Nafi’ah Huwaidah (FKIP) and Shafira Aulia Rahma (Psychology). This achievement demonstrates the synergy between study programs in producing outstanding students in the field of Islamic studies.
The achievements of these UMS Public Health students not only demonstrate their commitment to intellectual and spiritual development, but also demonstrate that the Public Health Study Program has students who excel in various fields, including practicing the values of the Quran.
The UMS Public Health Study Program expresses its highest appreciation to these outstanding students. Hopefully, this achievement will motivate all students to continue developing and inspire them to create a Qur’anic generation that makes a real contribution to society.
