Laboratory Benchmarking to Hasanuddin University

Friday, October 11, 2024 – The Public Health Study Program of the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) visited Hasanuddin University (Unhas) with the aim of conducting laboratory benchmarking. This activity is part of an effort to improve academic quality and laboratory facilities in the UMS Public Health Study Program.

During this visit, UMS sent five representatives consisting of 4 lecturers and 1 Public Health Study Program Laboratory Staff:

1. Dr. Yuli Kusumawati, SKM., M.Kes (Epid).
2. Izzatul Arifah, SKM., MPH.
3. Mitoriana Porusia, SKM., M.Sc.
4. Tanjung Anitasari I.K., SKM., M.Kes.
5. Dian Islami, SKM.

The activity began with a welcoming ceremony by a team from Hasanuddin University led by representatives from the Faculty of Public Health, Unhas. During the visit, the participants discussed laboratory management, innovation in research, and the use of technology to support laboratory-based learning. In addition, the group was also given the opportunity to visit the laboratory at Unhas to learn more about the innovations and best practices that have been implemented.

Through this benchmarking activity, the UMS Public Health Study Program hopes to adopt various innovations and strategies from Hasanuddin University to be implemented in the UMS environment. This step is a manifestation of UMS’s commitment to providing the best facilities and education for students and supporting research that has a positive impact on society.
