5R Public Lecture with the Central Java Work Safety Center

The Public Health Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences (FIK) Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS) on Monday, June 5 2023 at 09.00 – 10.40 WIB held a public lecture via the Zoom Meeting platform. The public lecture took the theme 5R (Concise, Neat, Clean, Careful, Diligent). The public lecture activity was carried out with resource person Mrs. Emi Nur Agustin, S.Si, M.Pd, a representative from the Central Java Manpower and Transmigration Department’s Work Safety Center. In the 5R material, Mrs. Emi Nur Agustin, S.Si, M.Pd explained the definition, principles, steps and targets of 5R. The 5R public lecture was attended by K3 students from the UMS FIK Public Health Study Program and accompanied by Mrs. Salsabila Purnamasari, SKM., MPH. as course supervisor. Preparation depends on the leadership’s commitment seen from the quality of policies which can be in the form of a vision and mission.
There is an organizational structure, so that there are direct roles and responsibilities of each person who will enter the implementation section.
Implementation, promotion by sticking posters in certain areas to remind employees about the importance of 5S and socialization regarding the implementation of 5R during meetings/meetings. Multi-international companies usually have good 5S quality, because of continuous socialization and implementation so that the 5R culture has been well formed. During orientation, employees need to be introduced to their work environment and duties. So that from those who don’t know they know, those who know become doing it, then it becomes a habit and a culture.
