Sharing with alumni is a routine agenda carried out with specialization in OHS (Occupational Health and Safety), Public Health Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences (FIK), University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The sharing agenda this time took the theme “Alumni Sharing and Apprenticeship Debriefing” which was held through the Gmeet platform, on Sunday, May 29, 2022. One of the reasons for holding the sharing, considering that 6th semester students will face Field Learning Practices and 8th semester students will carry out internships independent. In addition, the alumni meeting is an important activity where alumni provide an overview of what the real world of work is like and what must be prepared.Sharing activities with alumni were attended by Mr. Danang Kurniawan Anggoro, S.KM., M.KKK. as a resource person. He is the first batch of K3 applicants, Public Health Study Program, FIK UMS. He works as Superintendent SHE System & Training at PT. BUKIT MAKMUR MANDIRI UTAMA (BUMA). In the discussion with him, he conveyed what needs to be prepared when going for an internship, tips for internships and all kinds of internships, such as don’t mess with contracts and make sure you do things that are detrimental to yourself.

The second resource person, namely Mr. Aji Budi Setiawan. He is an alumni in 2021 and currently works as a Health and Safety Officer at PT. Always Love Indonesia. In the discussion about internships, he conveyed tips and tricks in internships, internship benefits, and basic knowledge concepts in the OHS world that must be known before going into the field.

After the sharing with alumni was carried out, both students and alumni themselves felt that a lot of knowledge was gained from each individual’s experience. It is the hope of the alumni that in the future the agenda can be carried out again, so that alumni and students are more familiar and can help each other. Meanwhile, students hope that the sharing will be held again because there are so many new knowledges that can be obtained.
