SURAKARTA – Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS) has added two new professors to its ranks with the inauguration of two professors from different fields. This inauguration is part of UMS’s commitment to strengthening the quality of higher education, research, and community service through the development of superior academic resources.
The two academics inaugurated as professors are Prof. Arum Pratiwi, S.Kp., M.Kes., Ph.D. from the UMS Faculty of Health Sciences (FIK) and Prof. Kussudyarsana, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D. from the UMS Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB).
Prof. Arum Pratiwi was inaugurated as Professor of Psychiatric Nursing. This inauguration recognizes her dedication and contributions to the development of nursing science, particularly in the field of mental health. During her academic career, Prof. Arum actively conducts research, scientific publications, and community service focused on improving the quality of mental health and nursing services.
Meanwhile, Prof. Kussudyarsana was inaugurated as Professor of Expertise in Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, and Family Business Governance. His expertise contributes to the development of management science, particularly related to business strategy, entrepreneurship, and family business governance, which are crucial sectors in the Indonesian economy.
For the UMS academic community, the inauguration of these two professors is a significant achievement that further strengthens the university’s position as a leading institution of higher education in the development of science and innovation. The presence of these professors is expected to encourage the development of quality research, strengthen academic collaboration, and make tangible contributions to addressing various challenges in the fields of health, economics, and community development.
