UMS Public Health Holds 2026 Public Health Education Competition for High School Students

SURAKARTA – The Public Health (Kesmas) Study Program at Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS) is once again holding the 2026 Public Health Education Competition for high school students. This annual competition aims to encourage creativity and raise awareness among the younger generation about public health issues.

Themed “Healthy Transformation of Today’s Youth: Physical, Mental, Social, and Digital Health,” the competition features three categories: posters, short videos, and essays. Through these categories, participants are expected to express their ideas, concepts, and innovative solutions related to adolescent health in the modern era.

In addition to providing a platform for creative expression, this activity is also expected to broaden students’ understanding of the importance of maintaining overall health, including physical, mental, social, and digital aspects.

The committee will provide various attractive awards for the winners. Prizes for the poster category are up to Rp 500,000, for the short video category up to Rp 700,000, and for the essay category up to Rp 600,000. All participants will also receive an e-certificate and the opportunity to receive coaching.

Registration and portfolio submission for the competition are open from January 20 to March 31, 2026. The judging process will take place from April 1–10, 2026, with the announcement of the winners scheduled for May 5, 2026.

Through this activity, the UMS Public Health Study Program hopes to encourage the active involvement of the younger generation in voicing the importance of public health and generating innovative ideas that will benefit the lives of today’s youth.
