Surakarta, September 2025 — The Public Health Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (Kesmas FIK UMS), has once again achieved a proud achievement. Two Public Health lecturers from UMS, Noor Alis Setiyadi, S.K.M., M.K.M., Ph.D., and Rezania Asyfiradayati, S.K.M., M.P.H., successfully passed the 2025 Wave 1 Patent Application Description Writing (PDPP) selection, held in September 2025.
This success demonstrates the two lecturers’ commitment to developing research innovations that have high benefits for society. The PDPP selection is a strategic program aimed at encouraging increased quality and quantity of patentable academic inventions. This achievement is an important step in strengthening the research culture and downstreaming innovation within UMS Public Health.
Both are known for their active involvement in the development of applied research in public health, through scientific publications, research collaborations, and solution-oriented community service activities. Their selection for the PDPP program is a testament to the academic quality and potential for inventions produced by researchers in the UMS Public Health Study Program.
The UMS Faculty of Public Health (FEK) Public Health Study Program expressed its appreciation and congratulations for this extraordinary achievement. It is hoped that this achievement will inspire and encourage the development of more innovative work that contributes to the advancement of science, improving the quality of public health, and enhancing UMS’s academic reputation at the national and international levels.
