Surakarta, February 7, 2025 — A proud achievement has once again been made by the academic community of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS). Dwi Linna Suswardany, SKM., M.PH., a lecturer in the Public Health Study Program and Head of the UMS Center for Chronic Disease Studies, has been officially selected as the International Expert Advisor of Campbell China Network (CCN).
Campbell China Network (CCN) is part of the Campbell Collaboration, a leading international organization that focuses on developing evidence-based policy and practice through systematic reviews and meta-analyses. This appointment places Dwi Linna Suswardany in the ranks of international experts who will provide strategic and scientific input in the development of evidence-based health research, especially in developing countries and the Asian region.
Her selection as an International Expert Advisor is not only an acknowledgement of her dedication and contribution in the field of chronic disease epidemiology and health policy, but also brings a good name to UMS in the international arena. This shows that the scientific capacity and global network of UMS lecturers are able to contribute to the world’s scientific discourse.
“This award is a motivation as well as a mandate to continue to encourage international collaboration that has a direct impact on the formulation of health policies based on data and scientific evidence,” said Dwi Linna when interviewed after receiving the official announcement from CCN.
The UMS Public Health Study Program also expressed its appreciation and full support for this achievement. This achievement is expected to inspire other academics to continue to innovate, work, and network globally for the sake of improving the quality of education, research, and community service.
