UMS Public Health Study Program Presents Educational Experience for High School Students

Surakarta, January 4, 2025 – The Public Health Study Program (Kesmas) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) participated in the UMS Future Insight: Learn, Explore & Connect activity, which was held to introduce the world of college to high school students. This activity was attended by more than 30 students from various high schools who were enthusiastic to get to know the academic world at UMS better, especially in the field of Public Health.

Through this program, participants had the opportunity to learn directly about the role and importance of Public Health in everyday life. Students were also invited to explore the various facilities available at the UMS Public Health Study Program, including laboratories and interactive learning spaces. Not only that, this activity also presented a connect session that allowed participants to interact with lecturers and students of the Public Health Study Program to gain deeper insight into career prospects in this field.

The participants expressed positive impressions of this event. They admitted to gaining many new insights and feeling increasingly motivated to continue their higher education in fields that suit their interests. One participant said, “This activity is very useful because it provides a real picture of the world of college. I am more interested in studying Public Health.”

With UMS Future Insight: Learn, Explore & Connect, UMS hopes to continue to provide education and inspiration to the younger generation in choosing a higher education level that suits their passion and ideals.
