Balai Pialam Yogyakarta is one of the lists of field study visits that have been planned by students specializing in environmental health in waste management practicums. Students of the Public Health Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences (FIK), Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS) made a visit on June 6, 2023. Visit of Waste Management Practicum with a total of 31 students to learn about procedures for treating domestic waste in the Sewon WWTP area, in visiting students were welcomed in the hall and given an explanation of the initial material by Ms. Arya and Ms. Heni first. The Sewon WWTP visit was guided by Mrs. Janah, where she explained the process from the start of domestic waste entering until the stage when water could enter the control tank and be released into the Bedog River. The WWTP installation consists of a tub for processing ponds after WWTP is continued to IPLT. The next location is a faecal waste treatment plant guided by Mr. Tri Budi, who explained from the beginning of the feces arrival and the inspection process to the final stage of feces waste management.
