Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) launched the My MBKM application as a facility that can be used in the Independent Learning Campus (MBKM) learning on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at the Ramada Suites Hotel by Wyndham Solo.

UMS Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sofyan Anif M.Si, conveyed the position of UMS as the best Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) campus in Central Java, from 8 campuses that received grants and MBKM activities.

“UMS has the same level as other State Universities (PTN). Even in a pandemic, UMS still has to excel,” said the Chancellor of UMS.

The Chancellor hopes that after the MyMBKM application program there will also be follow-up related to lecturer training, so that it does not stop at using the application.

In addition, the UMS Chancellor added, this program is not only domestic, it can also be used on an international level. So that this application can accommodate foreign students who take part in the MBKM program, as well as UMS students who take part in student exchange programs abroad.

“This will strengthen UMS’ international reputation in developing learning both at home and abroad,” said Sofyan.

After giving a speech, the Chancellor of UMS launched the MyMBKM program symbolically by pressing the button provided by the committee.

On the same occasion, Munajat Tri Nugroho, ST, MT, Ph.D as the Chair of the 2021 UMS PKKM Grants Taskforce said that the applications designed by the UMS MBKM team would be utilized in the process of learning activities.

“MBKM activities on the UMS campus in the future will be increasingly challenging, because every time from Dikti there must be a new program, and this is our common homework that we must face and anticipate,” said the Industrial Engineering lecturer.

This activity is also a workshop on the finalization of the MBKM system implemented at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta.
