GeMPHA Webinar “Is Covid-19 Vaccination Safe for PLWHA?”

The HIV/AIDS Concern Student Movement (GeMPHA), Public Health Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences (FIK), Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS), held a webinar on Sunday, April 11 2021, at 08.45 – finish, via zoom meeting. The GeMPHA Issue Discussion webinar was attended by all members of the HIV/AIDS Concern Student Movement (GeMPHA) who are public health students in semesters 2, 4, 6 and the wider community. Where some of the participants had never formally received knowledge about COVID-19 vaccination, especially for PLWHA. The webinar presented extraordinary resource persons including Mrs. TanjungAnitasari Indah Kusumaningrum, S.K.M., M.Kes., Mr. Garis Subandi, and Mr. dr. R. SatriyoBudhi S, Sp.PD-KPTI, M.Kes. During the presentation of webinar material by the speaker, several materials were presented regarding the meaning of HIV/AIDS, the objectives of controlling HIV/AIDS, principles of transmission, methods of transmission, phases and symptoms of HIV/AIDS. Apart from that, material regarding COVID-19 and material regarding the COVID-19 vaccine for PLWHA sufferers was also presented. After the presentation of the material is complete, there will be a question and answer session. In this session, participants were given the opportunity to ask the speaker about HIV/AIDS and COVID19 vaccination material.
