A graduate of the FIK-UMS Public Health Study Program, Astrini Atharik, was chosen to be the best graduate in the University at the 2018/2019 UMS graduation period. Astrini graduated at the graduation ceremony for the first period at the GOR Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, Sunday (16.09) yesterday.

This Garut-born woman graduated from the Public Health Study Program on August 3, 2018 with a GPA of 3.88 and a study period of 4 years. He graduated with a thesis entitled “Factors Associated with HIV VCT Intentions in Housewives in Banjarsari District, Surakarta City”.

During her studies, Astrini was also actively involved in student organization activities both on and off campus. According to him, academic achievement will be more brilliant when coupled with non-academic achievements/soft skills. Astrini is active in Muhammadiyah University English Course (MUEC), BEM Faculty of Health Sciences, Indonesian Public Health Student Senate Association (ISMKMI) Region 3, and Rumah Jabar Surakarta.

Astrini always remembers her parents’ message that it is not humans who judge whatever we do, but Allah SWT so that what is done must be based on intentions because Allah SWT so that all obstacles that stand in the way can be sincerely accepted and strong to be faced. In addition, maximizing the learning process in class and discussing with friends is one of the mainstays so that learning materials are easier to understand. Astrini’s next target is to be active in the world of work and continue her studies to master’s level.
