On September 18, 2024, the Student Association of the Public Health Study Program, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (HMP Kesmas UMS) held an activity entitled SOPH (Sharing Of Public Health). This event is an important forum for students and lecturers to openly discuss developments and challenges in the Public Health study program.
In this SOPH activity, students are given the opportunity to submit suggestions, criticisms, and input related to programs currently running in the Public Health study program. Not only that, they can also ask various questions related to academics and other study program activities that may require special attention.
On the other hand, the lecturers provide direct responses to all questions and input submitted. Through the ongoing discussion, lecturers can provide explanations regarding the policies that have been implemented and future plans for the development of the study program. This makes SOPH a productive dialogue forum to improve and enhance the quality of education in the UMS Public Health study program.
The SOPH event not only strengthens the relationship between students and lecturers, but also becomes an important momentum to ensure that student aspirations are heard and considered in decision-making related to academic programs.
