The Alumni Association of the Public Health Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences (FIK) Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS) held Career Booster activity #3. This activity was held on Wednesday, July 10 2024 at RUK 1.2 FIK UMS. Career Booster #3 carries the theme “SKM Entrepreneurship? No Worries”. The activity was opened with remarks from Ms. Yuli Kusumawati, SKM., M.Kes(Epid) as Chair of the UMS FIK Public Health Study Program and Mr. Purwo Setyo Nugroho, SKM., M.Epid as Chair of the UMS FIK Public Health Study Program Alumni Association.
Career Booster #3 began with the provision of material by Mr Fatta Yasin Munajad, SKM who is the owner and founder of Kreasikayukuu. He said that to become an entrepreneur you have to be adaptive in following the market and trends by diligently researching the market to find out about external markets, where there are several tips given by him, including:
- Get to know yourself
- Increase knowledge, skills and experience
- Be open to change
- Collaborate with others you can trust
- Maintain mental and physical health
In his business he manages Kreasikayukuu, Plannerku and Rumahkuu. He has received various awards. He advised students to immediately realize what they intend to do in business and not to delay.
The second material was presented by Mrs. Hestu Nugraheni P.A., SKM., she is a jajansolo food vlogger and owner of preorderinaja. He said that the knowledge learned on campus really has to be applied when you graduate, besides that building relationships with many people is very important for starting a business. In building her business, Mrs. Hestu started by sharing with a digital marketer. Exploring and honing soft skills and brainstorming with other people are important things to do. Working by channeling your hobby is a happy activity, so when starting it we have to be happy first.
