Students of the Public Health Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences (FIK), Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS) specializing in Environmental Health held a practical field visit on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. The student field visit was one of the agendas of the Waste Management practicum course with a total of 30 students. The visit was intended for students to know about the Hospital WWTP Processing. The visit began with remarks from the IPAL Hospital in the Hall of the Bung Karno Hospital, Surakarta City, where the students were received by representatives of the Hospital. Students were given an initial explanation of the material in the hall by Mr. Wisnu, after which students were directed to visit the WWTP of the hospital where the WWTP of the RSUD was behind. In the RS WWTP there is processing, B3 and Non-B3 waste where B3 waste is processed by external parties and waste that can be processed inside such as used infusion waste is carried out in several stages such as chlorine and also enumeration.
