National Seminar & Call For Paper for Public Health Study Program 2022

The Occupational Health Effort Post is a form of empowering the working community, especially in the non-formal industry in the health sector, which is intended from, by and for the working community themselves. The Occupational Health Effort Post were formed by non-formal sector workers through integrated guidance by the Health Office through the Puskesmas. Referring to the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 100 of 2015 concerning Integrated Occupational Health Effort Posts and the number of non-formal sector workers who do not have any guarantees in their work, especially safety and health at work, from these problems the Public Health Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences (FIK), Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) held a national seminar and call for paper with the theme “Optimizing the Role of Community Health Workers in Establishing Occupational Health Effort Posts as Primary Health Care Strengtheners”. The National Seminar and Call for Paper were held via the zoom platform on Saturday, May 21, 2021, at 08.00 WIB. The event was attended by students, university students, lecturers and health practitioners.

The National Seminar and Call for Paper were opened with the khitmad Indonesia Raya and Mars Muhammadiyah: Sang Surya, then the reading of the holy Qur’an, and continued with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences UMS Dr. Umi Budirahayu, SSTFT., M.Kes.. The event was moderated by Ms. Dwi Linna Suswardany, SKM., MPH. as a lecturer in the Public Health Study Program, FIK UMS

In the first session delivered by Mrs. drg. Kartini Rustani, M.Kes who is the Director of Productive Age and Elderly Health at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia as the keynote speaker. In the discussion with him, the role of public health workers related to the UKK Post is not only borne by occupational safety and health experts, but the role of health promotion experts, health policy administrations and other public health practitioners have an equal share in building the UKK Post so that can run dynamically.

Followed by the next speaker Mrs. Dr. Yuliani Setyaningsih, SKM., M.Kes. Head of the P3LP Division of IAKMI Central Java with the topic of Formation, Challenges and Opportunities in Efforts to Improve Occupational Safety and Health in the Informal Sector. Then the 3rd speaker session was delivered by Mr. Dr. Himawan Purwo Handuto, Chairman of IAKMI Batang Branch, where he delivered material on the Process of Establishing UKK Posts for Batang Regency. The last speaker is a Lecturer of the Public Health Study Program, Mr. Sri Darnoto, SKM., MPH. where he delivered material related to Non-formal OSH Case Studies. After delivering the material, it was followed by a joint discussion and question and answer session. Before the break and the presentation of material from the speakers, there was an announcement of the winners of the poster competition, short health education videos and health speeches which were participated by students. The winner of the competition entitled “Public Health Education Competition for Students and College Students” was announced by Mrs. Dr. Yuli Kusumawati, SKM., M. Epid. as the Head of the Public Health Study Program, FIK UMS.

The last event is the delivery of material from the presenters’ market which is divided into 3 rooms. The National Seminar and Call for Paper of the Public Health Study Program, FIK UMS, ended at 15.00 WIB.
