The 2021/2022 laboratory safety briefing was held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 by the Public Health Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences (FIK), Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS). The safety lab briefing was attended by students as a requirement to do practicum in the laboratory. The event started with doing a pretest in schoology, then continued with recitations and delivery of material about the safety lab through the zoom platform. The safety lab briefing was moderated by Ms. Mitorioana Porusia, SKM., M.Sc as well as filling out material on SOPs (standard operating procedures). In addition, Mr. Pramudya Kurnia, STP., MAGr. participated in filling out material for training regarding Work Safety in the Laboratory and Mrs. Siti Mardiyah who filled in material on Lab Safety and Regulations in the Laboratory along with PPE (personal protective equipment). At the end of the event, a posttest was conducted through schoology. The safety lab briefing took place from 08.00 – 12.00 WIB. It is hoped that through the provision of safety labs, students are more concerned with occupational health safety in laboratory practicums.
