Saturday, November 23, 2019 – The Faculty of Health Sciences (FIK) held APAR (Light Fire Extinguisher) training at the Mas Mansyur Pesma boarding school UMS.

The APAR training was attended by Deputy Dean II Dwi Astuti, S.Pd., S.K.M., M.Kes, Head of Public Health Study Program Sri Darnoto, S.KM., MPH, along with all staff and laboratory assistants of FIK UMS and several Public Health lecturers. In addition, the UMS security team and training instructor from DAMKAR (Fire Department) Surakarta, Taufik Agus Riyanto, also attended.

In this APAR training, it was conveyed about how to overcome the potential for fires caused by gas cylinders. As well as practicing the use of APAR with powder and CO2 materials to extinguish fires.
