Alhamdulillahirobbil’alamiin The Public Health Study Program has conducted an expert lecture on Interprofessional Education Class with the topic “Tackling obesity prevalence in Low and middle income countries: Lesson learn and strategies from Australian prevention program.”. The expert lecture was held on Friday, October 12, 2018 in the RK.II Classroom Campus 1. The speaker was Ms. Sarah Taki from Australia.

He said that every time you start a problem management program, the thing that must be considered is to consider the steps that will be taken first, as much as possible to do prevention, and determine the class of treatment, whether primary prevention, or secondary or tertiary. And in making a health program, it is necessary to consider the Social determinant factor.

Health programs carried out in Australia to solve the problem of obesity in young children are:

Nutritional intake
Growth and energy
Eating behavior

Things that need to be changed are:

Physical activity
Eating behavior
Feeding the baby

This expert lecture was attended by the FIK-UMS academic community from 4 Study Programs. Participants in the expert lectures seemed very enthusiastic in participating in the IPE expert lectures, and the participants’ enthusiasm in asking questions and exploring additional information, not all of which could be obtained in lectures.
