The Faculty of Health Sciences Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta held a release ceremony for 419 students who took part in the Inter Professional Education (IPE) Inter Professional Education (IPE) based on Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan. The release of the IPE KKN was carried out directly by the Chancellor, Mr. DR. Sofyan Anif, M.Si in the courtyard of the Siti Walidah rectorate building on Monday, March 26 2018. In front of the IPE-AIK KKN participants, the Chancellor explained that the Grade Point Average (GPA) does not only determine one’s success. To get a profession also requires soft skills or better known as social skills, interacting, communicating to emotional intelligence. Soft skill skills can only be obtained through KKN activities. There, students are expected to be able to learn to identify problems, find appropriate solutions to create programs that are beneficial to the community. Mr. Sofyan advised students to make the best use of the IPE-AIK KKN time. Because, the implementation only lasts for two weeks
The 419 IPE-AIK KKN participants were divided into four study programs, namely Nursing, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Public Health Study Programs. They will be placed in 7 (seven) sub-districts in Boyolali district. “Later, the Muhammadiyah Branch (PCM) or sub-district leaders will be distributed to each village.
This is the first time the IPE-AIK KKN activity has been carried out by the UMS Faculty of Health Sciences and is an innovation from the Dean, Dr. Mutalazimah, S.KM., M.Kes in internalizing the values of AIK (Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan).
