The Public Lecture on Digital Public Health in Primary Health Services was held by the Public Health Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences (FIK) Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS) on Thursday, December 28 2023. This activity was held at 09.00 at the Postgraduate Building, Floor 5, UMS. The public lecture was attended by Prof. Asnawi Abdullah, Ph.D. as resource persons, and Mr Sri Darnoto, SKM., MPH. as moderator. In a public lecture with Prof. Asnawi Abdullah, SKM., MPH., discussed the progress of digital technology which is experiencing developments beyond our imagination, at a speed that has never happened before > industrial revolution 4.0. The speed and scale of this progress has changed almost every aspect of human life, revolutionizing the way we communicate, work, learn and interact with the world around us. The technology we are studying now may experience even more rapid development in the next few years. The digital public health trend is currently on the rise, so are we ready for digital public health where:
- Information dissemination becomes faster
- Easier access to health services and information
- Increase health literacy and awareness
- Increased capacity in carrying out early detection
- Ability for big data exploration
The hope of holding this public lecture is that students of the UMS FIK Public Health Study Program will be able to prepare themselves as early as possible to face digital public health which continues to develop, so that when students take part in the field, they will be able to guide and invite more people to be able to utilize existing digital public health.
