Field Learning Practice (PBL)-I carried out by the Public Health Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, UMS is one of the activities that requires students to be able to apply the theory that has been obtained in lectures in the community. This relates to the competencies that students must have, namely identifying health problems in the community, determining problem priorities, preparing problem solving action plans, and evaluating the interventions provided.
PBL-I for this year is slightly different due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Even with the pandemic from the Public Health Study Program, FIK UMS, it is still trying to make PBL-I possible by implementing various steps so that the expected competencies can be achieved optimally. The first step of the Public Health Study Program in implementing PBL-I was to conduct a PBL-I preparation meeting which was held on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 through the zoom platform which was attended by all Lecturers of the Public Health Study Program FIK UMS to coordinate with each other regarding the implementation of PBL-I. The meeting went smoothly with various discussions about the implementation of PBL-I both from environmental conditions whether it was in the red zone or not, technical data collection, outcomes to be obtained after PBL-I activities, and the achievement of student competencies in PBL-I activities.
