Public Lecture with Grand Shaykh Al-Azhar Egypt

The happy news is back in the midst of the Surakarta Muhammadiyah University community. Because it coincided with the commemoration of National Education Day which fell on May 2, UMS had the opportunity to host international figures from Egypt. This opportunity

The results obtained did not escape from various positive assessments of UMS in the international arena so that important figures were willing to stop by.

Grand Shaykh Al Azhar, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed Eltayeb will come to Indonesia to attend the World Ulama Summit which will take place in Bogor on 1-3 May. On the sidelines of the schedule, Sheikh Ahmed Eltayeb is scheduled to be a public lecture speaker at UMS.

“We welcome his arrival (Shaykh Ahmed Eltayeb) with joy and we have prepared, we invite all Chancellors of Muhammadiyah Higher Education, Aisyiyah and Muhammadiyah Islamic Boarding School Leaders to take part in the general lecture delivered by the sheikh,” said UMS Chancellor, Dr. Sofyan Anif, M.Si on Monday (23/4).

Accompanied by the Chancellor of Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt, Prof. Dr. Muhamad Hussin Abdelazis Hassan, Shaykh Ahmed Eltayeb later in addition to UMS are also scheduled to visit the Gontor Women’s Modern Islamic Boarding School in Kentingan, Ngawi. Along with the arrival of the Chancellor of Al-Azhar University, later UMS will sign a cooperation agreement. “Later on at the same time the signing of the cooperation,” he said.

The signing of the collaboration is expected to provide opportunities for UMS students to study at Al-Azhar University in Egypt. (Ahmad)

The General Lecture will be filled by the guests, namely:

1. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hussin Abdelaziz Hassan – Chancellor of Al-Azhar University.
2. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed Eltayeb – Grand Shaykh Al-Azar and Ambassador.

This public lecture, God willing, will be held on:
