SBMPTMu or Joint Selection for Entrance to Muhammadiyah Higher Education/ ‘Aisyiyah’ is a joint selection of new student admissions within Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah Universities (PTMA) which was initiated by the Council for Higher Education Research and Development (Diktilitbang) Muhammadiyah Central Executive. The implementation is based on the spirit of togetherness to raise PTMA. The purpose of this activity is for PTMA to get good input as well as quality graduates so that they can contribute to the welfare of the community.

Last year, the 2018 SBMPTMu (formerly SBMPTM) was attended by 12 (twelve) PTMAs for the Medical Education Study Program only, this year it is expanded both from the number of PTMA participants and the variety of Study Programs. This time the 2019 SBMPTMu was attended by 67 (sixty-seven) PTMAs spread throughout Indonesia, and the number of Study Programs offered at the 2019 SBMPTMu were 881 study programs throughout PTMA who participated in this program. Selection using the Computer Based Test (CBT) system, participants can choose the closest test location. The SBMPTMu is divided into 2 groups, namely group I for the Doctor and Dentist Education Study Program with two types of tests, namely the Academic Ability Test (verbal, numeric, logic) and Subject Materials (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and English). Group II is another Study Program with test material, namely Academic Ability Test (verbal, numeric, logic).

The advantages of the SBMPTMu online registration system make it easier for prospective students to choose their PTMA destination. Prospective students simply register through the online portal sbmptmu.id and make payments via transfer via the nearest Syariah Mandiri Bank. So that in its implementation, it is expected to be more flexible and efficient because it crosses regions. With a registration fee of Rp. 750,000, – for Doctor and Dentist Education Study Program participants have the opportunity to choose 3 (three) Doctor and Dentist Education study programs at different PTMA and take the exam at the nearest location. For other study programs, the registration fee is Rp. 300,000,- having the opportunity to choose 4 (four) study programs at the same or different PTMA in the nearest location.

Registration for SBMPTMu group I (Education of doctors and dentists) will officially open on April 29, 2019 to July 3, 2019. Prospective participants must meet the requirements, among others, high school/MA graduates majoring in science in 2017, 2018, or 2019. For participants who graduate from the package Package C maximum age 21 years. In addition, the prospective participants are in good health and are not color blind. Furthermore, the implementation of the exam is planned for Sunday, July 7, 2019. The announcement of participants who pass the selection will be announced on Thursday, July 11, 2019. Participants who pass this stage will take the next stage of the test at their respective PTMA destinations.

Registration for SBMPTMu group II (other study programs) will officially open on April 29, 2019 to July 17, 2019. Prospective participants are required to have adequate health so that they do not interfere with the smooth study process. The exam is planned for Sunday, July 21, 2019. Announcement of participants who pass the selection will be announced on Thursday, July 25, 2019.
For registration purposes, participants upload their 5th semester report cards (for 2019 graduates) or diplomas (for 2018 and previous graduates), color photographs and photo identification cards (KTP/passport/SIM).
