UMS Public Health Study Program Holds National Seminar in 2019

Climate change and increasing anti-microbial resistance have led to an increase in the emergence of new-emerging and re-emerging diseases that have the potential to be pandemics with characteristics of a high risk of death and very fast spread. Globalization which has resulted in increased mobility of humans and animals across countries as well as changes in human lifestyles have also contributed to accelerating the process of spreading epidemics into global health security threats.

In response to this, the Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) emerged as an open and voluntary forum for inter-country cooperation, with the aim of strengthening national capacities in dealing with infectious disease threats and global health. This National Seminar will explain global health and the possibility of the emergence of various types of new diseases and pandemics as well as produce various solutions and innovative thoughts related to the theme.
